1. Applicant/s should be a member of ESI.
2. Award will be conferred to an Indian citizen/ firm/ team for his/her/their innovations/inventions made in any areas of plant protection that has enabled farmers to protect crops, increase profits, minimize environmental damage, save money and materials without compromising on efficacy.
3. Applicant should be an Indian citizen and must hold a position in a recognized industry or in any other recognized R&D institution/entomological enterprise registered in India.
4. The applicant must have at least 15 years of experience in industry.
5. There is no age limit for applying the award.
6. Former or present Vice-Chancellors of Universities/ Principals of Colleges/ Directors of Central or State or Private research institutions / Heads of the Departments not below the rank of professors/ Fellows of Entomological Society of India (ESI) can nominate suitable candidates for the award. Self nomination not accepted.
7. The candidate should be role model among his/her peers.
8. The award committee nominated and chaired by the President, ESI will evaluate the nominations and select the awardees. The decision of the award committee will be final.
9. Total number of awards will be two, in exceptional cases it can be increased or decreased based on award committee's decision. Each award consists of a citation and memento.
10. Complete nominations are to be submitted through Email- esiaward@gmail.com in a single PDF (hardcopy will not be entertained) on or before 11.59 PM of the 15 October 2026. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
11. The applicant/s must not have received a similar award for the same accomplishments in the last two years.
